Art. Body. Desire. Identity.

KYBOR is an artist-led practice exploring perception through body and environment. I draw from leather culture, queer heritage, and the philosophy of pleasure.

We don't talk about pleasure enough. Fear and shame keep us silent. KYBOR exists to change that - to make space for honest conversation, and a more accepting relationship with ourselves.

  • Artist-Led

Every piece is rooted in an artistic practice, not trend cycles. KYBOR is made by an artist, for those who wear meaning.

  • Culturally Rooted

My work draws from gay leather heritage, queer subculture, and the symbolic language of desire. Authentic, not appropriated.

  • Made With Intention

From hanky codes to pup play iconography, each design carries history. Wear it as identity, not just clothing.

Welcome to Kybor Carlsen Visual Artist & Designer

My work is a study of human behaviour and connection - of the ways strength and vulnerability fold into one another. Whether through a canvas, a garment, or a print, each piece is part of the same enquiry: how we express ourselves, how we reveal and conceal, and how desire shapes the way we dress, look, and move.

Explore the Practice
  • The Practice

This is not simply a store but an extension of my studio. My work moves between art and design, between the quiet act of drawing and the boldness of clothing. I draw from subcultures, fetish, and the language of style itself, using visual form to ask questions of identity, intimacy, and power.

    Deeper Reflection about the Practice
  • Work and Series

Here you will find both artworks and design objects - fragments of the same practice in different forms. Each carries the same intent: to explore the currents of human behaviour through image, material, and shape.

  • Editions

The shop offers editions drawn directly from the studio. Not products in the usual sense, but continuations: wearable works, printed images that carry an idea of the practice into your world.

  • Reflections

At times I write - fragments, short texts, and essays that circle the same questions as my visual work. They are not explanations, but openings: glimpses into the thoughts that shape the practice.
